Congratulations to Year 9 student, Ānahera Easton, who played in the NZ Football U17 Identification match on Tuesday night. This match is part of the selection process for the NZ U17 Girls football team so it is a huge success for Ānahera, who is still only 13, to be invited to trial. She made the most of her opportunity by scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory!

Ānahera also continues to train with the Wellington Phoenix U15 Girls each week and is hoping to secure a permanent spot in the squad for next year.

Ānahera has already scored 4 hat tricks for the school side this year despite missing the majority of the season due to these types of commitments. Keep working hard Ānahera, everyone at Waiopehu is supporting you.
